Description
Panel One: Medium shot of Cal. He's looking to his left and glaring, presumably at DJ, who is off-panel. He thinks to himself, "He's kicking trash all over the place! I just cleaned!"
Panel Two: Same angle. Cal looks down to his right, his expression sad. He thinks, "He's upset about seeing his dad. I wish I could see my dad."
Panel Three: Same angle. Cal is looking thoughtful and sad. He continues to think, but the thought bubble is starting to cover his hair a bit. "It's my birthday, and I don't even have a family any more. At least he has a dad to be mad about."
Panel Four: Same angle. He looks down and grits his teeth in frustration, his eyes shut tightly. He continues thinking. "Argh, I wanna just scream at him but I know he's doing his best. It's not like he asked for this, either. I mean, who would?"
Panel Five: Same angle. Cal covers his eyes with his hand and frowns. The thought bubble is crowding him even more. He thinks, "He's been so helpful but I haven't done anything for him except try to find a good time to confront him. I didn't even thank him for showing me the kittens." From off panel, DJ says, "See you later." Cal does not appear to notice.
Panel Six: Wide shot of the room. DJ is gone, his side of the room overflowing with trash and debris. Bits of trash have migrated onto Cal's side. Cal is sitting in bed, looking up in surprise. He looks very small, and the room feels empty.

Ooof - Sneaky hate spiral time.
And I'm pretty sure that trash pile gets worse every time we see it.
