Description
Panel One: Wide panel, medium shot from in front of the Headmaster as he spins and sweeps his sword across, effectively releasing DJ's blade, at the same time turning to jab at DJ with the main gauche. DJ, his body facing the viewer but his eyes on the main gauche, rushes by the Headmaster and barely dodges the blade. SFX: DODGE
Panel Two: Triangular cut-in panel of Cal and Zane on the walkway. They're both smiling, presumably impressed and glad that DJ escaped the hit. "Whoa!" exclaims Cal. "Nice!" says Zane, with his hand in a triumphant fist.
Panel Three: Slightly farther back shot. DJ's back is now to the viewer as he turns (SFX: TURN) to face the Headmaster, who is continuing his dagger strike. His back is to DJ, but his head is turned, presumably looking over his shoulder. The tip of his main gauche is still pointed at DJ as he twirls. SFX: FOLLOW
Panel Four: Medium shot of the Headmaster as he finishes his move, now facing DJ with the main gauche in his right hand pointed up and still towards DJ, and his sword behind him at a low angle. SFRX: SPIN SPIN
Panel Five: Wide, thin frame. Extreme close-up of DJ's left hand as he yanks at the collar of his cloak. The four snaps holding it closed come apart. SFX: >pop!< >pop!< The rest of the frame is him pulling his cloak off and winding it around his left arm. His expression is somewhat grim, and his sword is pointed off-panel, presumably at the Headmaster. SFX: FWIP! FWIP! wind wind
Panel Six: Wide, rather stark frame of DJ from the Headmaster's POV. Half of DJ's face is visible through his mask. He's glaring intensely, and his lip is curled just enough to expose his teeth. His cloak is now wrapped around his left arm as a sort of shield, and his sword is at the ready, glinting in the light.
Author Note
The fight continues!
DJ's managed to avoid the first hit, but the Headmaster is literally keeping him at swordpoint. Luckily he's got a defensive strategy to try.
I gotta admit, the fight is difficult for me to draw, but I'm having a lot of fun coming up with sound effects and doing the speed lines.
