Description
Panel One: Wide shot of Cal and DJ's room. Cal is angrily sweeping the mess back into DJ's half. He's saying to himself, "Happy 15th birthday, Cal! What do you get?" He answers, in Spanish, "<You get taken from everything you've ever known and thrown into this place with a complete stranger!>*" There's the notation "*<In Spanish>" in the lower left corner.
Panel Two: Medium shot of Cal carrying a trash can and rolling his eyes as he says, "Oh, yeah, he's nice, quiet, super-smart, star student..."
Panel Three: Wide shot again but a lower angle, so we can see Cals as he's hunched over, picking up bits of trash and putting them in the large metal can. "<But he's a total slob with zero interest in anything besides schoolwork!>" Cal goes on, "And what even is this palce? Self-serve buffets? Communal showers?!"
Panel Four: Medium shot of Cal as he continues complaining, holding up around a scalpel he presumably found on the floor. "<Ugh! It's just... Gross! And he wears his shoes in the room! Who does that?>"
Panel Five: Cal bends over and shoves down the tall pile of trash deeper into the trash can as he says, "Oh, I know! The same person who sneaks out at night, doing who knows what, drinking coffee until 2 AM!" SFX: CRUNCH!

And now back to Cal, who's gone from "sneaky spiral of self-loathing" to "mad about everything". He's not having the best day, either...
