Description
Panel One: "Hey, look!" The male nurse points towards a flag with a black biohazard symbol flapping in the breeze. "Oh no!" says the lady nurse.
Panel Two: "Hyah!" cries the doctor, snapping the reins. The researcher holds on for dear life while the nurses race forward on foot.
Panel Three: The nurses stand still in the shadow of a small building. The male nurse looks angry. The lady is aghast, her hands at her face. The doctor and the researcher run towards them. "What?" asks the researcher. The biohazard flag waves in the foreground.
Panel Four: The doctor and the researcher step forward and look at the building. The doctor glares. The researcher looks sad. "Oh no," she says.
Panel Five: Over the doctor's shoulder, we see a window. We can't see through it because it's covered with flies on the inside. "We're too late," she says.
Author Note
Yeah, I know, it was all fun for a page and now we're back to the horror. Don't worry, it'll pick up soon, I promise!
Honestly, that visual of the window covered with flies has been in my head since I came up with the story. I wanted a way to show that things were BAD without actually showing a horribly rotted corpse. I like to watch forensic shows (whoo, multiple applied sciences!) and I remembered one where a car was found off the side of a highway (no crime, tragic accident). The detectives were doing rock-paper-scissors to pick which one of them had to open the door because the windows were black with flies. You can say it stuck with me.
Anyhoo, if you want to watch me ink the next page, you can catch me on Twitch. My handle is Rabbit_Dance_ and I work on the comic every night!
