Description

Panel One: DJ and Cal, both looking angry at Fern's accusation. "What?!" DJ yells. "No way!" says Cal.

Panel Two: Slightly far-away shot of the walkway from above. Cal, Fern, DJ and the telescope are silhouetted against the starry sky. DJ says, "For your information, there's an incredibly rare planetary alignment happening tonight."

Panel Three: Fern looks at them incredulously, with her arms crossed. "So you're... Celebrating? With cake?" she asks. "That's so weird," she thinks to herself. "And you must be the new kid," she continues,

Panel Four: Cal, smiling brightly. The background is bright and shimmering. "Yes!" he says, "I'm Cal, DJ's new roommate."

Panel Five: Wide shot of the three of them. Cal bows and offers the box of snacks to Fern. "Would you like some?" Fern looks interested, and DJ looks worried.

Okay, because I've been asked - Fern doesn't press the issue about why they're up there because they're Carriers - They don't lie, remember? So, when they say they're not peeping, she believes them. Except now they just look like a couple of weirdos, but at least theyr'e not pervs.

That's better, right?

I love Cal's shift into Customer Service Mode. He's a Shop Kid, he's dealt with all manner of tough customers.
