Description

Panel One: Mostly dialogue panel with chibi Cal and DJ talking. DJ says, "Class 2 Carriers, like Fern, are only communicable through close contact." "Like touching?" asks Cal. "Not quite," says DJ. "Their diseases require some sort of... Fluid exchange." "Oh!" says Cal.

Panel Two: A shot of Fern, casually reading a book titled 'The Doctor Knocks Twice.' She is dressed in a frilly short-sleeved shirt with a pullover vest on top, skorts, and ankle-height lace-up boots. Her wrappings cover her arms and legs. Text from DJ partially overlaying her says, "They wear the wrappings to show that they're Carriers, but they don't have to wear masks."

Panel Three: Cal is rubbing a different skincare produc ton his face as he asks, "And class 3?" "Class 3 are the most rare," says DJ, from off-panel

Panel Four: Panel filled with silhouettes of people going about their day. DJ's narration is text over top of it. "Class threes don't have to wear masks. They can go anywhere, or do anything." "Whoa! How?" asks Cal, from off-panel.

Panel Five: DJ is sitting on the side of his bed, and Cal is peeking out from the bathroom, his face covered in a mud mask. DJ says, "Their plagues are curable or we have vaccines, so they're harmless." "Oh, wow!" says Cal, "Do you know any?"

Panel Six: Close shot of DJ looking angry. The background is dark and foreboding. "I know one," he says.

DJ finishes up the lore while Cal keep going with the skincare routine. Who do you think DJ's talking about?

This was a fun way to deliver some information! I try to avoid boring infodumps, and one of the challenges I face as a writer is figuring out ways to deliver information without making it sound too... Lecture-y. (That's totally a real word, btw. I'm a writer, I would know.)
