Description

Panel One: DJ is pointing sternly at Cal as he says, "I'm coming right back after class so we can get you as caught up as possible!"

Panel Two: Cal, surprised. His fork is partway to his mouth. "What?!"

Panel Three: Cal waves his hands nervously and says, "It's okay, DJ, you don't have to - " There's a closeup of DJ's fist as it slams on the table. "Yes, I do!" he says. SFX: >WHAM!<

Panel Four: A triangular panel with a closeup of DJ's hand being pressed flat on the table, his fingers spread. He says, "We're - "

Panel Five: DJ is looming into Cal's face. Cal has slid down into the seat. DJ's face is so close to Cal's that the brim of his hat is pushing up Cal's bangs. They are nearly nose to nose. DJ looks determined as he continues, "Going -". Cal is blushing at being so close, and he looks nervous. His heart is pounding. SFX: ba-dum ba-dum

Panel Six: A closeup of DJ's eye, with a glint in the corner. "To STUDY."

Author Note

This is probably one of my favorite pages I've ever done. Partially becasue of the ship bait, but mostly because if we were to zoom out, DJ is literally on the table, and looming over Cal like a gargoyle. Thinking about their classmate's reactions makes me cackle every time.

Also - DJ, personal space is a Thing.

I realized that I ran out of some button designs so I need to make more before I can put them up on the site. Hopefully I can get that done this weekend!
