Description

Panel One: Doc, sitting on the left side of the cart, with Cal next to her. She is pulling up her hood. She says to Cal, "Time to mask up." He answers, "Oh! Right."

Panel Two: Cal is putting on a regular medical-style mask when he is stopped by Doc saying, "That's not good enough."

Panel Three: "You need these." A plain leather plague doctor mask, a white hood and white gloves rest in a hat.

Panel Four: Cal holds the mask in his hands and stares at it. The background is black. Doc, out of the frame, explains, "The mask is important, Cal. You can't leave without it. There will be days when it's hot, or your nose itches, or maybe you just don't want to, but you need to wear it. We are Carriers. We all have a plague, and everyone else out here is trusting us with their lives."

Overlaid over the bottom panel is a view of Cal wearing his new mask and hood.

Author Note

This is my wife's favorite page! And it made a few people angry when they saw it because it was "Pro-masking propaganda." To which I was like, "Uhm - You read this far and you didn't get that?" O_0

Anyhoo, I have a convention to get ready for. Setup is TOMORROW!
