Panel One: Zane remarks to DJ, "Well, maybe we can all hang out after class tomorrow."

Panel Two: DJ scratches his head and says, looking uncertain, "I dunno about that. I still need to study."

Panel Three: Zane sits down on the edge of Cal's tub, much to Cal's surprise, and says to DJ, "That's okay. One thing at a time, right?" "Yeah," DJ answers, "You should've seen him when they changed the uniform policy." "Oof. That bad?" Zane asks. DJ cringes and says, "Completely lost his mask."

Panel Four: Zane crosses his arms. "Damn! Well, maybe in a week or two we can all do something together."

Panel Five: DJ looks downcast. "We'll see."

DJ's dad sounds like real "Father of the Year" material, doesn't he? Also, we have learned some Carrier slang!

Okay, so, comic update - Turns out, there is no way I can possibly have the comic for Steel City Con, which saddens me. Not only is it not finished, the bigger issue is that my printer is facing an industry-wide PAPER SHORTAGE. He can't even print me a proof copy to show off. Even if I waved a magic wand and everything was finished last month, there's no telling when I'd get a physical copy in my hands.

So, uhm - That sucks. A lot. BUT that not only gives me plenty of time to make this issue better than the first one (I am told the art quality is already better, so yay for that) I can also include some print-only extras! I could include some scans from my sketchbook from when I was designing the characters, fun bio pages, maybe even a short three-panel chibi comic or something. Who knows? There's lots of fun stuff I can do! ^_^ I've also taken some time to design some fun merch for the con this weekend. I finalized the Yersinia Academy's coat of arms, and I'm working on some more fun button designs and possibly a sticker sheet. Even though the con is in two days, I'm still not entirely sure what I'll have on my table, so, uhm - We'll see!
