Description
Panel One: Cal looks out over the cafeteria. Zane, dressed in a very Goth outfit complete with eyeliner and jewelry, is waving at him from a lunch table. There are two other students with him. "Come sit with us!" he says. Cal calls back, "Thanks, Zane!"
Panel Two: Zane, from off-panel, says, "Cal, this is Geraldine, she/her-" It's a close shot of a girl. Geraldine has shoulder length hair with bangs, worn in a half-up style and pale skin. She has a slight overbite/buck teeth and wears long earrings and a lab coat over her clothes. She smiles and gives a small wave. She says, "Good morning!"
Panel Three: Zane, again from off-panel, continues, "And Royce, they/them." A similar shot of Royce. They have a medium skin tone, with short, slightly darker hair that's longish in the front, a hawkish nose and narrow eyes. Royce is also wearing stud earrings and has teeth much like Geraldine. They are dressed as a nursing student. "Hey!" they reply, smiling.
Panel Four: Cal stands at the end of the table, holding his plate and drink, while Zane gestures at him. "Geri, Royce, this is Cal. He's DJ's new roommate." Cal looks at the table and says, "Hello."
Panel Five: Geri, who was sitting at the end of the table across from Zane, scoots over to let Cal sit in her spot. "Where's DJ?" she asks. Cal sets his breakfast down. "He's still asleep," he answers.
Panel Six: Zane, picking up a small mug, looks surprised. "Asleep?" he says, obviously surprised. Royce is buttering some toast and chimes in with, "I figured he'd already be studying."
Panel Seven: Cal has a knowing smile and is looking off to the side as he takes off his hat. He says, "Well, actually..."

Oh, look - New friends! See, I do let Cal have nice things from time to time.

I'm currently in Writing mode for Issue 3, but I'm almost finished with the details of nailing down dialogue, camera angles, etc. Next step is to do the rough layout and start drawing!
