Plague Rat – Chapter 2, Page 10

Description

Panel One: Doc is standing in a fancy, book-lined office, facing a man sitting at a desk. His back is to the window, so his face is in shadow. She looks indifferent. "Dr. Abernathy," he says, "You know the policy on accepting students mid-term." "I do," she says. He continues, "Especially ones from Outside." Doc's hands are on her hips and she asks, "Your point being?"

Panel Two: The man's arms are crossed in front of him, and he remains in deep shadow. He says, "He simply doesn't have the right academic background to -"

Panel Three: Doc interrupts him. "Did you even read his notes?" She is glaring and gesturing.

Panel Four: There's a notebook on the desk, with "Wednesday, 5/12" at the top of the page. It starts at 8 AM and seems to be a record of patient vitals. "I'll admit, it is impressive," the man says. "Where do you think he learned this?" "He's Mac's grandson," Doc answers.

Panel Five: The man leans in his chair and steeples his fingers in thought. Despite the shadow, we can see what looks to be a wedding band on his left hand. "Hmm," he says, "Still, it's very basic." Doc says, "Did I mention he was dying at the time?"

Author Note

Wow, can that guy BE any more sinister? Of course, Doc is clearly not intimidated by him in the slightest.

And yes, I left a little thing to find on the notepad for those that decide to zoom in. It's mostly gibberish, but, well... I know I'm not the only person who pauses movies and such to check out background details.

There's not much to say this week, other than I'll not be streaming over the holidays, but I do hope that all of you have been having a good holiday season. Just remember the rules to keep away the plague, and don't forget to wash your masks and refill your hand sanitizer before you go out. I'll be keeping to my normal Wednesday update schedule, but be on the lookout for random art drops in the blog. ^_~

Safe Travels!
