Description

Panel One: DJ and Cal are holding dinner plates, looking at the options. DJ asks, "Something wrong?" Cal looks confused. "Uhm - Where's the server?" he asks.

Panel Two: DJ smiles and picks up a pair of serving tongs, giving them a few clicks. "Why would there be a server when you can serve yourself?" There's a narration at the bottom. "This is DJ, my new roommate and who I'm told is the best student in the entire school."

Panel Three: Cal smiles sheepishly and says, "Oh! Right, Doc warned me things would be pretty different in here."

Panel Four: A crowded cafeteria with a tall, vaulted corridor running through it. Students in various uniforms are chatting and bustling about. Cal and DJ are sitting across from each other with their food. "So, what's with the bowing?" DJ asks. "When we met?" Cal replies. "Yeah, why did you bow?" Cal answers with, "You... Don't do that?" "No. Is that what you do out there?"

Narration: "He seems nice enough, but so far the only exceptional thing I've seen about him is..."

Still kinda reeling that I've got issue two up here and so close to completion! I've it roughed out, and I'm working hard on getting it pencilled and inked. Given certain... Setbacks that happened (like my monitor dying, our furnace pumping out loads of carbon monoxide, eye problems, etc...) I probably won't have it done in time for Halloween but we'll see. I just gotta keep going!
