Description

Panel One: Cal and DJ in the walkway. DJ's arms are crossed and he has an irritated look on his face. "Yeah, my real name is Darwin. I hate it," he says, before continuing, "But what about your birthday?" Cal is making a sweeping gesture with one hand as he says. "That was yesterday, it's not important."

Panel Two: Small, close-up panel of Cal's face as he looks up at DJ with a serious expression. "DJ, we gotta talk."

Panel Three: Cal and DJ in the walkway. DJ is in the foreground, walking away from Cal and looking over his shoulder at him. Cal says, "A few nights ago, I woke up and...  DJ?" "Sorry Cal, there's something I need to do," he says, as he walks away. "I promise we'll talk later, okay?" Cal is looking down at the floor, disappointed. He's holding his right arm with his left hand as he says, "I guess..."

Panel Four: A medium shot of the two in profile. Cal's looking up in shock at DJ, who's come back and put his hands on Cal's shoulders. He looks serious as he says to Cal, "Okay, Lesson 2: Carriers don't make promises unless we know we can keep them. Breaking one means we lied."

Panel Five: Shot of DJ's face from just over Cal's shoulder. His expression has softened and he says, with a slight smile, "I'll be back by eight. We'll talk then, okay?"

Panel Six: Cal's face from over DJ's shoulder. DJ's hands are still on Cal's shoulders. Cal's smiling as he says, "Okay."
