Description

Panel One: An above-view shot of DJ laying back on a pillow, with a towel behind his head. His face is covered in a blue clay mask and one of his eyes has a cucumber slice on it. Cal's hand is reaching in from off-panel and placing a cucumber slice over DJ's other eye. "I can't believe I let you do this," DJ says, sneering. "This is a waste of time." From off-panel, Cal says, "You coulda said No. Now, shush."

Panel Two: Chibi Cal and DJ. Cal is smiling and looking very satisfied, with his hands on his hips. DJ is laying down, looking very annoyed. A line of dots runs across the top of the panel, indicating waiting.

Panel Three: Chibi Cal and DJ, again. "Sooo..." asks DJ, "When does the relaxing start?" Cal rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. "Tch!" he says.

Panel Four: Medium shot of Cal, frowning and thinking, his arms still crossed. "Something's missing," he thinks. SFX: Hmm...

Panel Five: Above shot of DJ again. There's a bunch of noisy sound effects surrounding him and he looks very confused. SFX: >CREEEAK< >rustle rustle< "Cal?" asks DJ. SFX: >THUD!< "What's going on?" SFX: Thunk Thunk >swish< >Ka-Clik!< "Just a sec!" answers Cal, from off-panel, "I'm almost -"

Panel Six: DJ again, but this time he looks panicked and he's lifting a cucumber slice off of his eye. Lines of music notes flow around the frame, indicating music playing. "There we go!" says Cal, from off-panel, "Some light Classical should help." DJ gasps in shock. SFX: >Gasp!<

Author Note

Cal was raised in the relaxation business. DJ... Kinda the opposite. Random note - In the first panel, the cadence of DJ's speech is identical to his dad's because this is exactly what his dad would say/would want him to say.

Good news - We are recovered from the vaccine aftereffects! Evie feels fine, Kiddo feels fine, and my arm's stopped hurting, so that's helpful. In even better news, I've orded the print versions of Issue 2! I am currently waiting on the proof copy, and... EEEE!!! I'm so excited! ^_^ As soon as I get it it'll put it up on the site for purchase.
