Description
Panel One: Medium shot, from behind DJ. He's seated at his desk, and the room is dark except for the light of his lamp. He stretches both of his arms over his head and thinks, "Finally!" The clock on his desk reads 1:25 AM.
Panel Two: DJ staggers towards his bed, hunched and with bags under his eyes. He's backlit, and looks exhausted. The desk lamp is off, with the only light coming from the windows. The corner of his bed, covered in the dumped contents of his bag, is visible.
Panel Three: DJ bends over his bed and moves to sweep the papers and books scattered over it onto the floor.
Panel Four: Close shot of DJ, still hunched over. He's stopped, and looks like he realized something, with his eyes wide. The light coming in from the window is very soft.
Panel Five: Wide shot of the room. Cal is asleep in bed in the foreground, curled on his side with his back to the room but facing the viewer. DJ's stopped hunching, and has turned to look at Cal.
Panel Six: Slightly high angle view of the room. They are both asleep in their beds, except DJ has changed into his school pajamas and is under the covers. DJ's hat, mask and satchel are hanging on his bedpost, just like Cal's. There's no loose papers anywhere, or laundry on the floor. DJ's dresser drawers are closed, and the chair is pushed in at his desk, where the clock reads just past 2 AM.
Author Note
A quiet moment where DJ has a realization.
I love putting in silent pages from time to time. Not only are they good for pacing, but they let me really work the art muscles! They're always a challenge, but when they work... *sigh* It feels so good.
Thank you for being patient with the comic. I had my birthday recently, so I took some time off to relax!
