Description
Panel One: View of the three of them. Cal is working on Fern's other foot, while she leans back in her chair with her boba tea. She's humming contentedly to herself. SFX: ~Hmmmm~ DJ asks Cal, "Where did you learn how to do that?" "I apprenticed with a massage therapist," Cal answers. DJ continues,m "But you said you were a butcher."
Panel Two: Head shot of Fern looking cartoonishly panicked. "You were a butcher?!"
Panel Three: The three of them similar to before, but silhouetted while they talk. "Yeah..." says Cal. "And a volunteer gravedigger?" says Fern. "You dug graves?!" asks DJ. "Not officially..." says Cal. "And a massage therapist?" Fern continues. Cal says, "Well, I couldn't be a doctor, so..."
Panel Four: Closeup of Cal's profile, with a gloomy background. SFX: >sigh< He's looking down. "I was a lot of things, back home," he says, "I tried out a whole bunch of jobs, but..."
Panel Five: Cal's head and shoulders. He's slumped, with an even darker, sadder background. "I never felt like I fit in."
