Panel One: Cal over DJ's shoulder. He shouts back to him, glaring and with his teeth bared, "How did you get it wrong?" The background goes form light to dark behind him, and there are cracks shooting through it and running behind him.

Panel Two: Fern and DJ. Fern is confused. "Eh?" she says. DJ is flinching and drawing back, clearly alarmed and surprised.

Panel Three: Cal in the foreground, looking out at the reader. He has one hand on his chest and his face is determined. DJ is over one shoulder, and Fern the other, both positioned as though they are looking at Cal while he speaks directly to them. The word ballons are positioned to indicate who he's tlaking to. For DJ, he says, "You copied every question and answer until you had them memorized." To Fern he says, "You went over your notes and took practice quizzes." He continues, "I read the textbook and all your notes, and took my own." He continues, "I shouldn't have done better than you."
