Description

Panel One: Everyone is sadded by Blanche's hypothesis.

Panel Two: Jan perks up and says, "I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm starving! I'm making us all soup." Matt chimes in, "I'll get the stove going."

Panel Three: Doc and Cal have a talk. She asks, "Do you go by Cal?" "Yes." "Well, I know it's been a rough day for you, but we have a lot of questions. I suspect you have some, too." "A few." "I'll do my best to answer them. Can I count on you to do the same?" "Of course!"

Panel Four: Doc asks, "You do know what a Carrier is, right?" "Yeah. It's someone who carries a plague, and they're immune to everything else." "That's right. Do you know what that means for you?"

Panel Five: Cal is downcast and answers, "It means I can never go back."

Random fact - This is partially inspired by personal experience. I can catch the flu, but it doesn't bother me. I had bloodwork done years ago and apparently I've had every horrible flu strain that's been through, but I'm fine! So I make sure to get my flu shot so I don't accidentally kill anyone's grandma or something.

But Steel City Con is this weekend! Our first show since December of 2019! The comic is being printed as I type, and I'll be picking it up tomorrow (unless I get a message in the next hour).
