Description

Panel One: Cal is helping Fern off the ground. "So this is why you cancelled on us," he says. Fern explains, "Yeah, I offered to help with the Saturday Science Club, and then Mr. Gulhari had to leave all of a sudden."

Panel Two: A simple, cartoony diagram demonstrating the stages of the experiment as Fern explains, "It's a simple experiment. They need to plant two rows of beans: One in full sunlight and one under a tarp, and see how fast they grow."

Panel Three: Cal and Fern are int eh foreground, while in the background, a group of eight children run rampant. One has stolen the tarp and is running with it trailing her, while a second girl chases her, trying to touch the tarp. The girl from before is now throwing dirt at another child, while the boy swordfights with his trowel against another little kid. A small boy is stabbing at the ground with a trowel, and other is wandering around blindly, with a watering can covering their head. Fern looks panicked as she says, gripping a small burlap pouch tightly, "And we need to get this done before dinner, but they're running wild!" Cal is watching the mayhem, and there's a sweat drop mark on his head.

Panel Four: Closeup of Cal's hand as he accepts a small pouch labelled "BEANS" from Fern. "Don't worry," he says."

Panel Five: Head and shoulders shot of Cal as he adjusts his sunglasses with one hand and grabs the pouch of beans with the other. There's a bright sparkle on the sunglasses. He smiles confidently and says, "I got this."
