Panel One: Wide, slightly overhead shot of a conference room. There's a large table in the center with six chairs, five of which are occupied. The table is strewn with a mess of paperwork; ledgers binders, files, letters, etc. There's also a tea pot and a plate of sliced-up pound cake, ready to serve. Cal sits at one end, sipping tea. Next to him is Dr. King, then Ms. Ward. Mrs. Navares is at the opposite end, and Mx. Piveteau is next to her. The chair to Cal's right is empty. There's a small sofa against the back wall, and there's where Ian is sitting, staring intently at Cal. There's a small table next to the sofa, with a cup of coffee on it. Ms. Ward says, gesturing to some paperwork, "As we feared, the legal records from your town are... A bit disorganized." Mrs. Navares continues, "And we lawyers are spread a bit thin because of other... Recent incidents." Mx. Piveteau is leaning down, rummaging in a file box. "Any information you have to help us sort out your inheritance would be most appreciated."

Panel Two: Side view of Cal. One of them says, "Even if you have distant relatives we could-" Cal is flinching and looking down at the teacup and saucer in his hands. His eyes are wide, and his hands are shaking. The background fades from dark to light, and there are white cracks creeping in from the edges.

Panel Three: Dr. King interrupts, "Cal, if you need some time, we can do this later." She's holding up one hand to stop the questioning, and put the other on Cal's shoulder. She's looking at Cal, obviously worried. Cal has snapped out of it, and is looking at her hand.

Panel Four: Head shot of Cal. He looks pensive and sad. The background is dark, but there ar no cracks.

Panel Five: Extreme closeup of Cal's face. He's looking determined.

Panel Five. Cal is looking straight at the viewer, his face set. "Whatever you need, I'll do it."
